The Supreme Head of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, His Most Eminence, Prophet Solomon Alao, has called on Nigerians to pray against the country’s disintegration.

This is just as the Spiritual father of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Worldwide, Prophet Samuel Abidoye, appealed to Nigerians drumming for war to have a rethink.

Alao lamented that Nigeria was fast headed for the precipice, unless drastic measures were taken to reverse the spate of insecurity and hatred among the citizens.

The cleric, restating that the solution to the multifaceted problems facing the country was restructuring, said anyone vying for public office in of 2023 without supporting restructuring would lose.

The clergyman spoke at the official installation of the Vice Baba Aladura of the Eternal Sacred Order of the C&S church, Superintendent General Apostle Olatunde Oladapo, in Lagos on Saturday, according to a statement titled, ‘C & S Leader urges prayer against disintegration of Nigeria.’

“We should remember our leaders in prayer because Nigeria is very sick. We are going faster to the precipice, and if care is not taken we may divide. Of course, no sensible person would want us to divide. Let us pray that God makes our leaders yield to the clamour for restructuring. We should go back to the basics like our founding fathers gave us.

“They gave us a pseudo-federation that allows existing regions to run on their own. The system we are running now is what the military left for us. We should go back to basics. I am also speaking as a prophet of God that any political leader that does not support restructuring will not come to power in 2023,” he said.

The supreme head, however, hinted that Moses Orimolade University, sponsored by Rev Mother Esther Ajayi, was nearing completion.

Speaking on Saturday on the activities lined up to mark the 52nd ascension of Mount Horeb, titled, “Absolute Liberation” commencing on Sunday (today) at Galilee Praying ground, Ilorin-Ogbomoso road, the head of the C & S Movement Church, Worldwide, said the impact of war does not heal easily.

Abidoye, however, called on the Federal Government to show more commitment in securing the lives and property of Nigerians.

“We should all know that war goes beyond killing, it leads to starvation, restriction of movement, non-access to health facilities, offices, markets, losing of wives, husbands, children, relatives among others. Those who witnessed the 1966 Civil War in Nigeria can tell the bitter stories and have the rest of the story so united we stand, divided we fall.

“The Federal Government should therefore engage these warring set of Nigerians in a dialogue to save the country from another civil war,” Abidoye said.

On the spate of insecurity, the cleric said cases of kidnapping, terrorism, armed robbery, among others, had led to tension among people all over the country.

He added. “Nowhere seems to be safe again as these terrorists, bandits, herdsmen, Boko Haram have taken over Nigeria thereby overwhelming our security structures in the country. This is sad. The Federal Government should show more commitment in securing the lives and property of its people.

“Prices of foodstuffs and other essential commodities are already beyond the reach of most people. Any attempt to further increase the price of petrol will further impoverish the living standard of most Nigerians which could lead to unprecedented crises. So, the government should not contemplate it but rather look for a way to ameliorate the suffering of Nigerians now.”
