NOA sensitises Gombe residents on new national anthem

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) Gombe State office has sensitised residents of Gombe State on the need to be conversant with the lyrics of the new National Anthem.

The call was made by the State Director of NOA, Adaline Waye Patari at the end of a sensitisation and awareness creation road walk held on Thursday starting from the Federal Secretariat complex through the major streets of the state capital and terminating at Gombe motor mega parks.

The awareness campaign focused on the new National Anthem, the National Value Charter, and the National Identity Symbols, aimed at fostering patriotism and unity of purpose among Nigerians.

The initiative is a key step towards promoting Nigeria’s promise of a better and stronger nation.

While addressing management and some motorists at the mega park Gombe, Aderline Waye Patari said that the outing was to sensitize the general public more especially those at the mega park is one of the strategic areas which comprises people from different parts of the country on the importance of the new national anthem and the national value charter.

She also said that the wordings of the new National anthem reflect the present situation of the country and remind people on the activities that was done by heroes in the past which need to be built up hence, the change from the old National anthem.

The NOA Director therefore called on the staff of the Mega park, motorists and the general public to do their best and engage on doing things that will bring peace and Unity to the state and Nigeria in general.

Responding,the Director General, Gombe State Transport Service, Dr.Sani Sabo represented by the Traffic Manager, Malam Sani Yaro expressed appreciation to NOA for the sensitization visit and described it as timely.

He also pledged to extend the message to every nooks and crannies, not only in Gombe state, but the country as a whole so as to have a safe Nigeria.

The road show which was led by the NOA Director, Aderline Waye Patari was accompanied by all staff of the Agency, members of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Federal Road Safety Corps and Nigerian WAI Brigade among others amidst drumming, singing and dancing.
