The state commandant Sani Mustapha, who introduced the state chairperson of the association, Hajia Fatima Sani Mustapha, today in a colourful ceremony in Gusau, the state capital, said the essence of inaugurating the association is to bring the wives of civil defence officers together to enable them to fend for their husbands and encourage them to function properly in the discharge of their duties.

Speaking during the inauguration, the State Chairperson of CDOWA, Hajia Fatima Sani Mustapha, urged the women to be supportive of their husbands and encouraged them to put up their best in the discharge of their duties.
She maintained that CDOWA has come to stay in Zamfara State and added that she will make every frantic effort to ensure the smooth running of the association in the state.
