The Caretaker Committee Chairman for Oriade local government area of Osun state, Hon Bunmi Obeisun has today 18th of August, 2021 presided over reconciliation meeting of the National Union Of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Obokun/ Oriade Chapters holds at Ijebu-Jesa, the headquarters of Oriade Local Government Area.
The reconciliation meeting was called at the instance of Oriade Local Government Area Council Boss with a view to resolving the age long differences between the two warring factions of National Union Of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Obokun/Oriade Chapters.
In his speech, the National Vice Chairman (South West) of NURTW who doubles as the Osun State Chairman of NURTW, Comrade Olalekan Folorunso PKA Salami thanks Hon Bunmi Obeisun over the role played by him in ensuring that this reconciliation meeting takes place today. Comrade Folorunso also appreciates the presence of NURTW leader in Ijesa North Federal Constituency, the Oloni Asalu of Eti-oni Asalu Kingdom, Oba Rasak Aluko (JP).
Comrade Olalekan Folorunso PKA Salami also eulogises the purposeful leadership of Hon Bunmi Obeisun in sustaining peace and unity in his domain.
In his own contribution, the Oloni Asalu of Eti-oni Asalu Kingdom, Oba Rasak Aluko (JP) said that all his efforts in resolving the differences between the two warring factions of NURTW in Ijesa North Federal Constituency in the past proved abortive until today’s meeting was called by Hon Bunmi Obeisun which eventually resulted in resolving the age long differences between the two warring factions of NURTW in Obokun and Oriade Local Government Areas.
The two NURTW leaders in the State promised to work together and mobilise their members enmass for the victory of Mr Governor come July 16, 2022.
Hon Bunmi Obeisun welcomes them to Ijebu-Jesa, the headquarters of Oriade Local Government Area of State and urges the two factions of NURTW in Obokun and Oriade Local Government Areas to work for the progress of the Transport Union in Ijesa North Federal Constituency.
The number one citizen of Oriade Local Government Area also enjoins them to give peace a chance and admonishes them to continue to support the APC led governments at the State and Local levels respectively.
Other members of the Transport Union who spoke at the reconciliation meeting include Comrade Sunday Akinwale ( Chairman, Obokun/Oriade Chapters); Comrade David Ajaja ( Deputy Chairman, Obokun/ Oriade Chapters); Comrade Oluwasesan Ilesanmi (Branch Chairman Oriade) ; Comrade Niyi Soladoye (Treasurer Oriade Branch) and Comrade Dele Ajayi (Secretary Oriade Branch). They all spoke with one voice to maintain peace and unity among themselves and to work for the success of Governor Oyetola second term bid come July 16, 2022.
