It was a golden moment for the Erelu of Lagos, the ever-fashionable Chief Abiola Dosumu a few days ago, as she celebrated the 50th anniversary of her installation as one of Lagos high chiefs.
A week-long colourful event was held to mark the milestone celebration at her Erelu Yeye Odua Cultural Centre in Ikoyi, Lagos.
There was also the celebration of the annual Kereku festival, an event that ushers in buoyancy in seafood, commerce, prosperity and peace in Lagos State.
Gracing the occasion were former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Kwara First Lady, Mrs Olufolake Abdulrazak, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, Mrs Bisi Fayemi, Gbadebo Vivour-Rhodes and many other dignitaries.
Erelu Abiola Dosumu was born in Lagos on July 29, 1947 and became the Erelu Kuti IV of Lagos in 1974 bringing glamour, honour, candour, elegance to her title.
