The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency ( TRACE)  has reported that 11 individuals sustained injuries in multiple accidents along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Saturday morning.

In a statement by the agency’s spokesman, Babatunde Akinbiyi, the incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. and involved a Mazda bus, a Mack truck, and a Toyota Hiace bus.

According to Akinbiyi, the crash began when a Mazda bus collided with a truck attempting to navigate into a private company’s premises in the area. Shortly after, a Toyota Hiace bus approaching from behind lost control and collided with the vehicles.

An eyewitness account revealed that the Mack truck was maneuvering into Cway company premises when the Mazda bus, allegedly speeding and impatient, failed to stop. The Toyota Hiace bus then lost control upon noticing the crash ahead.

The accident involved 21 people—12 adult males and 9 adult females—with 11 sustaining varying degrees of injuries, including 8 males and 3 females.

The vehicles involved were identified as a Mazda bus (plate number: SMK 554 YH), a Mack truck (plate number: FNN 934 XA), and a Toyota Hiace bus (plate number: KJA 995 XA).

The injured victims were transported to Idera Hospital in Shagamu by the Federal Roads Safety Corps for medical attention.
