Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Vice Presidential candidate Governor Ifeanyi Okowa; Sokoto Governor Aminu Tambuwal and his Bayelsa counterpart Douye Diri held a closed-door meeting with former Osun Governor Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Dotun Babayemi’s faction for reconciliation ahead of the party’s mega rally for Saturday’s Osun Gov rally.
Nationnewslead gathered the three Governors met with the aggrieved party members and elders, which include PDP Southwest National Vice-Chairman Soji Adagunodo, Senator Olu Alabi, BoT member Shuaib Oyedokun and members of PDP across the 30 local governments in the State at the house of Olu-Alabi.
Sources disclosed that Okowa appealed that to the aggrieved members and elders to support the party despite ill-fighting.
Diri apologised to the aggrieved elders for coming for reconciliation a day to mega rally of the PDP in Osun.
The media aide of Prince Dotun Babayemi, Kayode Oladeji confirmed the development in a statement.
He said: “Oyinlola responding to the Governors said on behalf of the aggrieved members said, “Today marks a positive turning point in the history of PDP, it is said that there’s no smoke without fire. The Vice President and other 3 governors have listened to us and have promised us immediate action.
“As leaders, be rest assured that we will not fail your aspirations. PDP is the party the masses are yearning for they have tasted 2 wives and they know which is better.
