Nigerians have mourned the passing of the iconic singer, Ms Onyeka Onwenu saying she died doing what she loved most, singing.

Tribune Online reports that the legendary singer reportedly slumped and died at the age of 72 after performing at the birthday celebration of Stella Okoli, the owner of Emzor Pharmaceuticals, held at Banana Island, Lagos.

The news of her passing has brought about an outpouring of grief and tributes from fans across social media.

Netizens have expressed their sorrow, describing her death as a monumental loss to the music industry and the nation.

They have emphasized that she died in the midst of her passion, singing, which brought comfort to many who appreciated her lifelong dedication to her art.
