The Executive Chairman of Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State, Hon. Obeisun Olubunmi Ezekiel, has pledged to launch the Obeisun Youth Empowerment Programme across all wards in the local government. He made this commitment during a political dialogue with his cabinet members and loyalists in a conference meeting held today.
Hon. Obeisun emphasized the need to support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by initiating empowerment programs that would uplift youths at the grassroots level. He stated that such initiatives would not only improve the living conditions of young people but also contribute to the success of the President’s governance agenda.
In a major policy announcement, the council chairman declared that all reinstated teachers and health workers, who were previously sacked by Osun State Governor, Sen. Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, would be recalled to their positions in Oriade Local Government. He stressed that his administration was committed to promoting good governance and ensuring fairness in employment policies.
“As a government that prioritizes the welfare of its people, we will continue to make decisions that benefit our communities,” Hon. Obeisun said. He further assured that his administration would work towards fostering a strong relationship with traditional rulers to enhance development in the local government area.
Speaking on the role of traditional institutions, the council chairman affirmed that monarchs across various communities would be actively engaged to ensure smooth collaboration between the council and the people. He noted that their input would be vital in identifying pressing needs and implementing sustainable development projects.
Hon. Obeisun also announced a structured plan to ensure the regular payment of five percent allocation to monarchs in Oriade Local Government. He reiterated his commitment to fulfilling all financial obligations to traditional rulers in order to maintain peace and stability in the communities.
He called on residents of Oriade Local Government to continue supporting the government’s initiatives, assuring them that his administration was dedicated to improving infrastructure, education, and healthcare services.
Furthermore, the chairman urged political stakeholders and party members to remain united in working towards the development of the local government. He expressed confidence that with collective effort, the people of Oriade would witness remarkable progress.
