Dr. Idowu Akinrosoye, the Head of the mass communication department at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, proudly declared the institution as one of the nation’s leading polytechnics during the premiere of the movie “Èsan (Vengeance)” produced by HND2 students with a broadcast option.
Addressing a distinguished audience including the Rector, Mr. Kehinde Alabi, represented by Mr. Adebayo Fadeji, the Director of Media Relations, Public Relations and Protocol, Dr. Tope Abiola, Dean of Student Affairs, and other notable guests, Dr. Akinrosoye highlighted OSPOLY’s track record of nurturing outstanding professionals across various fields.
Emphasizing the institution’s role in fostering dreams and aspirations, Dr. Akinrosoye commended the collaborative efforts of the director, course lecturer, and student producers, asserting OSPOLY’s capacity to shape individuals towards their desired paths. He envisioned the movie premiere as a catalyst towards establishing an autonomous film production department within the institution.
Echoing these sentiments, Mr. Aderemi Adeagbo, the lecturer overseeing ‘Film Production Technique,’ underscored the significance of “Èsan (Vengeance)” in promoting Yoruba culture and imparting valuable life lessons to both students and society at large.
