The crisis rocking the Osun State chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) continues to fester as supporters of the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola embarked on a protest against the alleged poor leadership of the incumbent governor, Adegboyega Oyetola in Osogbo.

Reacting, the State Chairman of APC, Prince Gboyega Famodun on Tuesday condemned the protest against the state leadership of the party and the administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

Aregbesola supporters, operating under the aegis of ‘The Osun Progressives (TOP) protested in Osogbo, where they carried placards mocking the governor and the leadership of the party over their woeful outing in the recent governorship election.

“Assuming but not conceding that there are challenges within the party, protesters should be told that they lack moral right to either suggest or effect any likely solution as it is on record that they massively and collectively worked against Oyetola.”

The Chairman urged the protesters to take their agitation for restructuring of APC to the governor-elect’s house since they worked for him stressing that their sponsor lacked the moral right to talk about APC in Osun State.

“If I may ask, at what point did it occur to you that the political party that you had abandoned for about three years which you have been working against needs restructuring”, the statement said. Continue Reading
