Governor Oyetola charge has many useful diversifications. The party preeminent, leadership at all levels in Osun must get themselves potently organized to re- acquire political power for the governing APC by winning the next gubernatorial, that’s, governorship election for the party in the state, exercise political power or operate government and hold same government accountable to the governed to continue to correct the ills of the society and fix government’s mistakes, where there’s any.
The vitality or strength of the Oyetola charge is asking the state APC leadership to get all restricted party circles, cliques, groups, fronts, groups, vanguards, caucuses, factions or factors by whatever names they bear, believed or seen to oppose to one another, reconciled by demonstrating unequalled, unrivalled aptitude for factoring themselves, party members and supporters into the mainstream APC in the state.
Oyetola’s charge rejigs the party apparatchiks, party faithful to ensure that APC at all levels in the state is not organized for violent outings under any aegis, maintaining rather, continual contacts with the electorate and such organized and unorganized mass based unions, their affiliated specific interest groups to cause the Osun APC emerge larger and more stronger, sufficiently effective to garner quality votes at all elections ahead. “Violence in any form is unnecessary and we must avoid it in Osun,” Oyetola sternly warned, urging the state security architecture to take over any violent scenes, aptly to drive home his charge.
With consequential increase in APC mass appeal in the state, membership attendance at all party meeting levels across Osun should be re- exerted; meetings called more frequently and led under closer watch for heightened coordination and clarification of probable party conflicting issues; more deliberate organizing efforts strengthened to re- activate old party members, re- mobilize new members, their respective quotas to issue deliberation process, re- unified more transparently to remove any perceived or resemblance of apathy or lack of interest in the party, and re- fire confidence and trust of all, the governing APC should as a corollary, draw at all times, improved or greater warm support as enthused by the charge
The puissance, horsepower of the Oyetola charge is compelling the Osun APC members to vote the party line, to get the control of government for second term to continue good services to the governed, and with capacity to make the state APC present a concerted front on all other germane party issues and public policies.
To vote party line is crucial to the survival of Osun APC, the governing party in the state and to the inviolate governing party at the mercy of any coalition of opposition interests just as it is fundamental to the sanctity or consecration, preservation of the governing APC to counter balance the strength of opposition clandestine, hush-hush, under-cover plots to weaken it.
The solidity of Oyetola’s charge is restoring the unity and peace of the governing APC in the state after the party’s sordid experiences of needless splitting, mindless invasion of the party house and the tyranny of assassination plot that violently threatened to paralyze the party.
