Over 500 residents benefited from medical outreach as Ayetoro-Yewa celebrates Day

As part of the activities marking the 2024 Ayetoro-Yewa Day celebration and launching of ₦500 million development fund, no fewer than 500 people benefited from a medical outreach to ensure the well-being and wellness of the people.

The event, which took place at Comprehensive High School, Ayetoro, Yewa North, Ogun State, witnessed people trooping out from different locations of Ayetoro and its environs to benefit from the medical outreach

Speaking at the event, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr Iziaq Kunle Salako, stated that the wellness of the people is paramount, and advised the participants to key into the Ogun State Health Insurance Scheme (OGHIS), as it will be beneficial to their wellbeing, especially by safeguarding them against catastrophic healthcare expenditure that could occur suddenly

Dr Salako lauded the Federal Government construction and inauguration of Primary Healthcare Centres with a new Hummer Bus and ambulance at Olabisi Onabanjo University, AgricCampus; Omidokun ultra-modern hall; Oja Oba Odo Rori road; a block of 12 classrooms at Government Technical College;  Ajoda ICT Centre all in Ayetoro facilitated by the Senator representing Ogun West senatorial district, Senator Olamilekan Adeola.

Also the renovation and equipped General Hospital, Primary Healthcare Centres, Ibile, Isa Ope as well as Ambulance Point; reconstruction of Iboro Igan-Okoto-Ayetoro road and several other infrastructural development by the administration led by Prince Dapo Abiodun.

He urged Ayetoro residents both home and abroad to always support government’s programmes and activities as they cannot do it alone

The state governor, represented by the Commmisioner for Culture and Tourism, Chief Sesan Fagbayi described the people of Ogun West senatorial district as a formidable force that had contributed to the success of his administration since the inception and called for the existence of brotherly cooperation and unity among the people of Ayetoro-Yewa area of the state

Chairman of the event, Aremo of Ayetoro and former Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly,  Suraj Adekunbi commended both the federal and state governments for fulfilling all their electioneering promises, especially the appointment of Fabiyi as minister and enjoined the indigenes to sustain the bond that unites them and foster the link of brotherliness

Earlier in his welcome address, Chairman, Central Planning Committee of the event, Kunle Amosun, applauded the present government at all levels for improving the wellbeing of the people through the provision of social amenities, appealing for completion of Iboro Igan-Okoto Ayetoro, Ayetoro Olodo roads so as to ease the hardship encountered by the commuters on the road

The event was attended by people from all walks of life, including the Speaker Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Daisi Elemide, the Ogun State, Hounarable representing Isokan State Constituency, Hon Adeyanju Awoso,  Iyaloja General, Alhaja Yemisi Abass, Former Ogun State Commissioner for Health, Dr Babatunde Ipaye, Alaye of Ayetoro, Oba AbdulAzess Adelakun, Adokun of Igan-Okoto, Oba Mukaila Salako; Other royal fathers from Yewaland.
