Iloko-Ijesa Kingdom in Oriade local government of Osun State was a beehive of joyful activities on Sunday, March 13, 2022, as His Royal Majesty, Owaloko of ILOKO-Ijesa, Oba Dr. Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe, Ajagbusi Ekun VI, installed some eminent personalities with honorary chieftaincy titles.
Indeed, who-is-who in Osun State and beyond, including traditional rulers, business tycoons, and political office holders were on hand to witness the installation of Adesuyi Idowu as (High Chief Oluode), Gbadebo Bakare (Baba Risikin), Owoola Ojo Esther (Yeye Solo), Solomon Olamide Odekunle (Oyesun), Olalekan Ogundipe Olarewaju (Risa Aworo), Folorunso Eyebiokin ( Otun Legbewa) and Ebenezer Babatope Oni as Baba Odole.
Obviously elated Oba Dr Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe, in presenting the Chiefs with their certificates urged them to continue to be good Ambassadors of the kingdom and by extension of the entire Yorubaland.
The monarch, who promised to continue to do his best for the community, stated that he will work hard to sustain the rich Yoruba culture and bring development to the kingdom in his time.
The Oba then called on the people of the town and other stakeholders to rally around him to move the community forward and thanked the Iloko Development Association for their positive and leadership role in the community over the months. Continue Reading
