The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to Senator Monday Okpebholo, who was recently inaugurated as the new Governor of Edo State.
In a statement released by Chief Obiuwevbi Christopher Ominimini, PANDEF’s National Publicity Secretary and Spokesperson, the organization praised the peaceful and successful swearing-in ceremony.
They noted that the inauguration of Governor Okpebholo and Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa has been marked by divine favor, especially during a challenging global economic period.
As the socio-political and economic umbrella body for the South-South geopolitical zone, PANDEF urged Governor Okpebholo to prioritize the welfare of Edo’s citizens, who showed overwhelming support during the election.
The organization expressed confidence in the governor’s ability to serve the people’s interests and emphasized the importance of focusing on policies that will benefit Edo residents.
Highlighting the extensive experience of both Governor Okpebholo and Deputy Governor Idahosa, PANDEF remarked on their history of representing the people in the National Assembly.
This background, PANDEF believes, equips them to steer Edo State toward significant progress.

The forum urged the new government to approach its duties with dedication to the region’s long-standing socio-economic goals.
The statement from PANDEF concluded with a reminder of the organization’s commitment to the prosperity of the South-South.
It emphasized PANDEF’s dedication to advocating for policies that will benefit all Niger Delta communities, expressing optimism for a productive and successful term under Governor Okpebholo’s leadership.
