The leadership of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has commended the people of the Niger Delta, particularly the youth, for their peaceful conduct during the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protest. The group emphasized that the protesters have successfully made their voices heard.
In a statement on Friday, Dr. Ken Robinson, National Publicity Secretary of PANDEF, praised ethnic youth organizations, community-based groups, civil society groups, activists, ex-agitators, and the youth for maintaining peace in the region amidst the nationwide protests.

However, Dr. Robinson urged protesters across the country to halt their activities due to the significant violence observed on the first day of the proposed 10-day protest.
“In light of reports of looting, destruction, and loss of lives in some parts of the country, PANDEF urges the protesters in some states of the region to end their protests to prevent criminal elements from hijacking the process and causing disruptions to the relative peace in the region,” the statement read.
“It is important to note that the point has already been made. YOUR VOICE HAS BEEN HEARD!
“We call on the government at all levels to take necessary and urgent steps to address the difficulties citizens are facing,” PANDEF urged.
This appeal underscores PANDEF’s concern for maintaining peace and stability while recognizing the valid grievances and achievements of the protesters.
