The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives candidate for Birnin Kebbi/Kalgo/Bunza Federal Constituency, Abba Bello Haliru, has reportedly died following a brief illness.
Abubakar Shehu, director general of the PDP governorship campaign council, confirmed his death on Friday, coming barely 49 days to the conduct of the 2023 general elections.
The late Abba was the first son of former PDP national chairman, Bello Haliru.

Abba won the PDP ticket by defeating the incumbent House of Representatives member, Bello Relisco in the party’s primary last year.
Elections will be held February 25, 2023 to elect the President and Vice President and members of the Senate and House of Representatives.
