The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the nomination of the Bayelsa State Governor, Sen. Duoye Diri, to serve as Chairman, Electoral Committee for the Lagos State Congress.
The party also appointed Hon. Gabriel Onyeweife as Secretary.
Other members of the Committee are Erelu Olusola Obada, Maj-Gen. Sarkin Yaki Bello (rtd), Hon. Awwal Tukur, Chief Peter Atofarati and Hon. Peter Orji
The statement by PDP National Secretary, Hon. Debo Olugunagba, Friday also disclosed that the exercise is scheduled to hold on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Ikeja, Lagos State capital.
In a related development, the National Working Committee of the PDP approved the nomination of the Senate Minority Leader, Sen. Eyinnaya Abaribe as Chairman of the Osun State Ward Congresses Electoral Appeal Panel to consider appeals arising from the conduct of the three-man ad-hoc delegate ward congresses.
The exercise, according to the statement, is slated for Monday, February 28, 2022, at the National Working Committee (NWC) Hall, Wadata Plaza, PDP National Secretariat, Abuja at 10 am.
It also appointed Barr. Tanko Beji as secretary of the committee.
Other members of the committee are; Dr Steven Omeje, Prof. Aishatu Madawaki and Hon. Chief Ako Atu
