The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of Igueben local government area in Edo State.
This was announced at the ongoing collation of results led by the Returning Officer, Professor Faruq Adamu Kuta, the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna.
According to the collation officer for the local govt, Asue Ighodalo of the PDP polled 8,470 votes to defeat his closest rival and candidate of the APC, Monday Okpebholo who scored 5,907 votes.
