The Chairman of the panel, Justice Haruna Tsammani has dismissed the petition of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) against the nomination of Vice President Kashim Shettima as lacking merit
Justice Tsammani dismissed APM’s petition accusing Kashim Shettima of double nomination in the 2023 general elections citing provisions in sections 131 and 137 of the constitution which does not provide for an invalid nomination or double nomination to be a ground for the disqualification of a vice presidential candidate.
