There was an impressive turnout of voters at the Ward 7 voting centre in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State for the ongoing governorship election in the state.
At the voting centre located within the Ologbosere Primary School, Upper Sokponba Road, Benin City, voters turned out in large numbers.
The centre has 39 voting units, and it is the centre, where the deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Osarodion Ogie, votes.
At the entrance to the centre, various party agents were seen calling out the names of their voting units to direct the voters to the appropriate voting units.
Tribune Online gathered that accreditation started as early enough with all the 39 voting units ready before 8.00 am.
A voter, Victoria Omorogbe, told Tribune Online that the centre had always been like that in the previous elections.
“This is always the pattern here. Voters always come out and INEC is also prompt in coming. The crowd you see here now, some of us got here before 630am”, she volunteered.
The PDP deputy governorship candidate, Ogie, was spotted in the queue, waiting for his turn to vote at 9.50 am
