Kwara State Police command has said that the Saturday local government elections in the state was peacefully conducted.
In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, the command said that the feat was achieved in collaboration with other security agencies.
“Through a well-coordinated security operation with other sister agencies, law enforcement personnel were strategically deployed to polling units and key locations, maintaining order throughout the process.
“No significant security incidents were reported, and all concerns were addressed promptly, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted voting experience.
“The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, CP Victor Olaiya psc(+) thanks all the security personnel deployed for the L.G. election exercise, exhibiting top professionalism and diligence.
“While he commended members of the public for their cooperation, the Police boss reaffirmed the command’s commitment to continuous safety and security of the state”.
