The duo reportedly stole 64 cartons of tiles from the Canadian University in Obudu, the home town of Governor Ben Ayade.

In a statement signed by Irene Ugbo, PRO of the state police command, the commissioner said further investigation was ongoing over the allegations.

The policemen were also undergoing an orderly room trial, he said.

“The trial is as stipulated in the Police Act and Regulation.

“The duo have abused and defiled their rule of engagement as well as the extant laws of the land.”

The statement further disclosed that four more suspects connected with the said crime will be arraigned in court soon.
