The Anambra State Police Command has raised concerns about alleged interference by relatives of the deceased in efforts to conceal evidence, suppress information, and disrupt the ongoing investigation into the cult-related killings in Nibo community, Awka South Local Government Area, on Sunday.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, revealed this in a statement on Monday in Awka. He said the Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Itam, voiced these concerns during a spot assessment when he led operatives to the crime scene.

According to SP Ikenga, Anambra State Police Command remains committed to the ongoing investigation and to arrest the perpetrators of the killings which recorded five persons dead and three others seriously injured and currently receiving treatment in a hospital.
He added that the Command had redoubled its efforts to leave no stone unturned in hunting down the assailants and that further development shall be communicated.
