The Kogi State Police Command has successfully rescued all the passengers of the Peace Mass Transport Bus who were kidnapped by some suspected kidnappers on Wednesday.
As previously reported, the passengers were travelling en route to Kogi State when they were kidnapped, leaving only a woman and her baby behind.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, along Ogugu, in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State. A trending video showed a white passenger bus belonging to Peace Mass Transit parked close to the bush along a major road.
However, the Kogi State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP William Ayah, confirmed on Saturday to our correspondent that all the passengers have been rescued.
He noted that they have since returned to their various destinations after regaining freedom from the kidnappers.
