Nationnewslead reports that The Management of the Federal Polytechnic Offa led by Dr. Lateef Olatunji and the Polytechnic Alumni Association led by Dr. Ayo Adeyemi have celebrated the ex-student for making the Polytechnic proud at the national level.
Ibrahim Aliyu is a graduate of Computer Engineering from the Federal Polytechnic Offa and was among the 110 shortlisted ex-corps members for Presidential honours with automatic employment, cash reward and scholarship to study in any University in Nigeria.
Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Olatunji while receiving the awardee in his office congratulated him for the great honour earned through hard work during his service year. He added that the entire Polytechnic is happy and really proud of him. He further charged the awardee to keep more efforts as the Management will continue to wage support behind students of his caliber with great exploration.
The Alumni Association who invited the awardee for a celebration expressed intense feelings towards the Presidential honour conferred on Ibrahim for his diligent service as youth corps member.
Speaking at the event, the Alumni President, Dr. Ayo Adeyemi said the association has found it necessary to celebrate anything good achieved by an alumnus no matter how little it may be. He added that such celebration will further encourage more students and ex students to be focused and preserve the image of the institution that made them.
Speaking further, Dr. Adeyemi emphasized on the fact that the Federal Polytechnic Offa is still the fastest growing and the best Polytechnic in Nigeria. He therefore pledged more support on behalf of the Alumni Association to further move the Polytechnic forward in all ramifications.
According to him, “It has become necessary to celebrate our members who have achieved one or two things and I want the members of the Alumni Association to always keep us updated on good tidings achieved by any member or student of this great institution. No matter the numbers of Degrees we might have had today, this institution remains our cradle which must be well preserved and projected”
Ibrahim Aliyu in his reaction thanked the Management led by Dr. Olatunji and the Alumni Association for the love, kind gesture and support shown towards him, adding that he will forever be proud of being the Federal Polytechnic Offa product and will not relax his diligent service for the nation at all time.
