….as Oyetola marks 3years in office

The state food support market outruns were not anything mental wreck, not one continuum of nothingness that could cast a scene near anarchy to coalesce into absurdity or become in the least, an ignorable din, a loud admixture of noises, nauseatingly replete with pent up furry of angry words and provocative reply. Meaning, no fragile tempers clashed; and insults, not thrown, not returned in the market space for free food distribution to make the exercise a tall dream to take 10minutes to gain a meter.

The scheme’s market initiative is highly commendable, and Oyetola must be commended here for many reasons. One, his ingenuity, an understanding of the vulnerable, with the expediency to provide them with free bags of food to give strength to life and living is pro development value-added for supported existence.

Two, Oyetola’s desire to make the vulnerable, the feeble, the down-and-out, and the debilitated break decisively away with hunger, his resourcefulness to advance food palliative for the beneficiaries’ creative application of body energy to sustainable self-improvement has shot him to a well deserved prominence with the food support scheme, other government policies, programmes and projects in the state as benchmarks.

And three, implementation wise, the distribution of free bags of food at markets was orderly, almost a pin drop bespectacled as no stage was set for any intrigues akin to any hide-and-seek game to keep the targeted beneficiaries in animated suspense, or cast a pall of uncertainty on the scheme, an amorphous situation, susceptible to manipulations in the market glare.

But the state food support scheme’s market outreaches cannot be pirated, reproduced or replicated by oppositions in Osun. Any replication of or swoop against the scheme by the official opposition political party in the state, resulting from the scheme’s mega-hit, blockbusters or huge successes thrown up by Oyetola’s supernovas, showing excellent leadership, steadfastness and focus, cannot be anything a novel.

Any such replication or reproduction of the scheme’s market approach is simply a theft, not a victimless theft! It’s thievery should the scheme’s market strategy be pirated by any of the opposition governorship aspirants around as the state soonest crosses the threshold into the main bowl of politics, politicking. And electioneering.

Hello! Hold it. How would a governorship aspirant of the official opposition party in the state, in a wink, significantly, a depressive wink, become so passionately impudent about the government free food distribution at markets and impute political connotations into the scheme to earn it a bad image? This is one of the many breeches of politics.

The particular governorship aspirant, plays cards, dice, chips, other imaginative board games; dances complex; and keeps talking birds to amuse himself according to most accounts; and has one other insignia: to buy and distribute private aircrafts to first class kings in Africa. Shadowboxed. He must certainly be shadow banking and he should be cautioned against aiding and abetting the shadow graphy of the Osun food support scheme to replicate or reproduce it. Caution, yes! And why?

It is piracy, attempting to replicate the state free food support market- innovation. The state official opposition party ought to know this, and the party knows. The scheme’s market extension is not a political weapon. The scheme is patented, authorized, sanctioned, permitted, licensed and protected by its entrenchment in the tinderbox of COVID-19, the observed Osun residents’ sad experience of higher risks of hunger and social exclusion.

Oyetola, the inventor of the scheme who has successfully registered it in the consciousness of the targeted residents of Osun has proprietary rights or claims explicitly to dispense the scheme, unobstructed, at markets or wherever he wants, and has moral privilege to stop opposition from using the acclaimed invention. And whoever disagrees with opinionative here can go ahead and commit political hara-kiri, or at best, go into political asylum; that way, the Osun food support scheme gets protected, a larger alibi for wider field for more successful operation of the scheme.

_Yeah!_ Listen! Opposition governorship aspirants could get enlightened here. The Oyetola food support scheme does not belong in the artillery of politics and contextually, cannot be weaponized. Rather, the scheme is antecedent in the COVID-19 heavy tolls, amidst consequent psycho – socio stress effects on human health, welfare and happiness, other complications related to hunger. The sad scenarios across the globe were such that everybody at home and in the street was hungry and angry, unhappy, microcosmic of the spherical impact of corona virus. Then, sudden deaths, a dime, a dozen; and hunger, on its 4legs, a free walker as aftereffect. Global.

And Nigeria, mired in the quagmire of the worldwide dreadful disease had its federated states pulsated and pounded. But Osun governor, quick to penetrating understanding, knew in a catnap, the all ramifying implications of hunger, the extent of the rot of COVID-19. And Oyetola, not one, doing things by whims, caprices, fancies and fantasies, he launched the state food support scheme as strategic planning, with the relevant government functionaries and key stakeholders accredited for agile mindset, discipline, commitment and delivery value, activating the scheme to its vision and objective.

The implementation of the state food support scheme is cross cultural, gender free, and cosmic singular, taking exception to any such dogmatics as sex, religion, political learning, tribe and language or dialect. All such bigotries, illiberalities or intolerant commonalities get down played as the Oyetola food bank opens to the vulnerable, resident in the state.

Every month. Without discrimination, reflecting Oyetola’s passion for the welfare of the Osun masses. While the beneficiaries, enthusiastic, have expressed gratitude for sustaining the scheme, congratulated him on his 3rdyear at the helms of Osun affairs and asked him to carry on the state governorship till 2026.

The scheme is a commitment to the cause of the vulnerable in the state and Oyetola restated this when he pledged “to build on the successes recorded so far and deliver more dividends of democracy to the people,” as he marked his government’s 3rdyear anniversary last Saturday.

Indeed, a commitment to the less privileged, also under his watch.

Deliberate. Rewarding. Fruitful.
