Pyrogenesis, a Consortium of companies has expressed its readiness to partner Oyo state Government on rural electrification, jobs creation, and food production as well create employment through renewable energy.

Its Chief Executive Officer, Simon Ighofose made this known at a press conference held at ATMAN Corporation headquarters in Ido, Oyo state.

Ighofose disclosed that partnership with the state government would be of greater benefit not only to the farmers but the entire people in the state.

He added the Consortium specializes in converting farmland waste to power generation aside oil and gas.

According to him, globally, concentration has been shifted from fossil fuels to nonfossil fuels which generate power through plants.

“We have had a series of meetings with the farmers on the renewable energy. We have let them realise that their farmland waste can be converted into use as source of energy.

“The waste on the farmland can be converted to bio-energy, bio-fuels, and bio-fertilizer to mention but few.

“Most of the companies in Nigeria are operating at a loss with total dependency on oil and gas sector as the only source of energy. This has resulted in geometric hike in the prices of the finished products.

However, with a shift to bio-fuels, the consumer will pay less for the product while electricity generation will no longer be cumbersome.

Aside, the farmers will have access to bio-fertilizers to boost food production nationwide.

This development, if religiously earnest will increase the GDP rate of the state.

In his narration, the Managing Director of ATMAN Cassava Mill, Seyi Oyenuga said the project is aimed at empowering farmers in the state.

Through the project, according to him, more jobs will be created.
