Known for blockbusters like ‘Shanty Town’ and ‘Slum King’, cerebral filmmaker, Chichi Nworah is set to enchant movie lovers again with her latest cinematic offering, ‘My Fairytale Wedding’.

‘My Fairytale Wedding’, a trilogy, will debut on Africa Magic Showcase on October 20, according to a post on her Instagram handle, @chichinworah.

The limited series features a talented ensemble cast and stunning visuals, showcasing Nworah’s signature style.

The star-studded cast includes Ramsey Noah, Carolina Hutchings, Ini Edo, Kanayo O Kanayo, Daniel Etim, Uzor Arukwe, Lilian Esoro, Mercy Eke, Tina Mba, Ayo Mogaji, and Vine Olugu, among others, ensuring a captivating performance from beginning to end.

The Africa Magic original limited series is produced by Chinenye Chichi Nworah and Taiwo Adebayo and directed by Dimeji Ajibola. ‘My Fairytale Wedding’ was written by Mrxavierighorodje, Great Opara and Owumi Ugbeye, based on an original story idea by Chichi Nworah.

Chichi, known for her high-octane action films, is exploring the romantic genre this time, bringing a new touch of flair to this popular Nollywood niche.

“We have been cooking this in the kitchen with some amazing people. And we’re finally ready to show the world,” elated Chichi said on her Instagram post, adding, “after we delivered ‘Shanty Town’ and ‘Slum King’, I thought, let’s do something for the lovers out there.”

Given the success and critical acclaim of ‘Shanty Town’ and ‘Slum King’, there is much anticipation for Chichi Nworah’s upcoming limited series, ‘My Fairytale Wedding’. While the plot details remain under wraps, it is safe to assume that the series will continue to explore the complexities of life in Lagos, albeit with a more romantic focus.

‘Will My Fairytale Wedding’ offer a stark contrast to the gritty realism of Nworah’s previous works? Or will it delve deeper into the underbelly of the city’s affluent neighbourhoods? Only time will tell.

Chichi Nworah has a knack for crafting compelling narratives that resonate with audiences. Whether you’re a fan of gritty dramas or romantic comedies, ‘My Fairytale Wedding’, according to industry stakeholders, is a must-watch.
