The House of Representatives has issued an order for the apprehension of Haruna Kolo, a former desk officer overseeing the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) at the Federal Character Commission (FCC), due to allegations of involvement in job racketeering.
Yusuf Gagdi, the Chairman of the Adhoc Committee responsible for investigating issues related to personnel recruitment mismanagement, employment racketeering, and other connected matters, announced this decision during a session held in Abuja on Thursday.
Kolo had been summoned earlier by the Adhoc committee to provide his testimony concerning a series of accusations against him, but he did not respond to the summons.
Moreover, the committee has established a deadline of Monday, August 14, 2023, for the Assets Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON) and other relevant agencies that have disregarded the committee’s invitation to appear before it.
