
The people of Ido-Oko Ijesa in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State gathered in large numbers today for the grand finale of the Restoration of Grace 2025 weekly prayer meeting. The sacred gathering, which has been a beacon of hope, healing, and divine restoration, saw the participation of sons and daughters of the town, well-wishers, and supporters who assembled at the Ido-Oko Ijesa Town Hall to give thanks to God.
The prayer session was led by Rev. Johnson Agboola, who guided the congregation through a series of intercessions for the progress and unity of the town. The event also witnessed the esteemed presence of His Royal Majesty, Oba Michael Babatunde Adeyemi Adedeji Adujelewu III, the Ado-Oko of Ido-Oko Ijesa, alongside prominent community leaders. Among the dignitaries in attendance was the National President of the Ido-Oko Progressive Union (IPU), Prince Ademola Adeyeye, as well as other notable figures committed to the development of the town.

Addressing the gathering, Oba Adujelewu III expressed gratitude to all participants for their unwavering commitment to the town’s spiritual and physical advancement. He emphasized the importance of unity, peace, and continued prayers in fostering sustainable growth for Ido-Oko Ijesa.
In a significant announcement following the prayer session, the Restoration of Grace 2025 Organizing Committee revealed plans for the installation of new market leaders in the community. The committee confirmed that Chief Cornelius Agbogungboro will be installed as the Baba Loja (Market Leader) of Ido-Oko Ijesa, while Chief Mrs. Bunmi Ariyo will be installed as the Iya Loja (Women Market Leader).
The historic installation ceremony is scheduled to take place tomorrow at the Ido-Oko Ijesa Market Square by 12:00 PM. The event is expected to attract traditional rulers, community leaders, and market stakeholders who will witness and celebrate the official appointment of the new chiefs.
Community members expressed excitement about the installations, noting that the new market leaders will play a crucial role in fostering trade, economic growth, and development in the town. Many believe that their leadership will bring further organization and progress to the local market.
