Lagos Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday, felicitated leader of the State’s Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Prince Tajudeen Olusi, on his 88th birthday, describing the elder statesman as a respected historian, a political icon and true democrat who is passionate about good governance.
Governor Sanwo-Olu said this in a statement issued by his Special Adviser (SA) on Media and Publicity, Mr Gboyega Akosile, saying that the GAC leader and former federal lawmaker deserved commendation for his contributions to governance and politics in Lagos State for about six decades.

The governor said Prince Olusi, as a good ambassador and an eminent Lagosian, had committed himself to the development of Lagos and described him as a mentor to many who were in public office.
“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Lagos, as well as members of the Governance Advisory Council, leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, I congratulate elder statesman and GAC Leader, Prince Tajudeen Olusi, on his 88th birthday.
“Prince Olusi is an uncompromised public figure and leader who has distinguished himself both in government and party politics for over sixty years. He is a true democrat and mentor to many of us in public office,” Governor Sanwo-Olu said.
“I wish our father, Prince Tajudeen Olusi, a long life and sound health for him to contribute more towards a continuous growth and development of our dear Lagos,” he prayed.
