The Lagos state governor, Babatunde Sanwolu will host 86th National Senate Sitting and pre-convention in Lagos .
The event will begin on Wednesday 4th of December to Sunday 8th of December, 2024.
In a statement signed by NANS senate president, Afeez Akinteye , it was stated that the event is meant to deliberate on crucial matters affecting Nigerian students and the education sector.
It was further stated in the statement that the event is also aimed at addressing the pressing challenges facing Nigerian students.
According to the statement, the convention is also meant to foster unity among Nigerian students and also strengthen NANS commitment to advocating for the collective interests of Nigerian students.
“We are pleased to announce that our 86th National Senate Sittings and Pre-Convention will be held from the 4th to the 8th of December, 2024, in Lagos State.
“This monumental event will be graciously hosted by the Executive Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, whose commitment to youth empowerment and education underscores his readiness to support Nigerian students and the future of our nation.
“The forthcoming This gathering will serve as an avenue for robust discussions and The Pre-Convention, which will also take place during this period, is a critical phase in the preparations for the NANS National Convention.
“It provides a unique platform to lay the foundation for a transparent and democratic convention, reinforcing the principles of accountability and inclusivity that our association upholds.
