Former Adamawa North Senator Elisha Abbo has issued a legal threat to Wange David over allegations that he was involved in making sex tapes with her.
In a recent interview, David claimed she had created 32 sex tapes with Abbo and accused him of leaking one of the videos online, alleging he is the only person with access to it.
Abbo has denied these accusations. His legal representative, Odiyowvi Osusu, has formally responded to David’s claims, stating that they have significantly damaged Abbo’s personal and professional reputation and misled the public.
The letter highlights that the video in question was published on the “Naija Police: U” platform on September 4, 2024, and an interview was broadcast by TrustTV News on YouTube the following day.
Osusu has demanded that David issue a public retraction and apology within 72 hours. This retraction must be aired on national TV and published in three national newspapers, with the terms subject to approval by Abbo’s legal team. Additionally, the retraction should be circulated on the same platforms where the original content appeared.
Failure to comply within the given timeframe will lead to legal action seeking damages for libel, an injunction to prevent further publications, and a court-ordered retraction and public apology.
The letter warns that if a satisfactory response is not received, legal proceedings will be initiated against David.
