It has been observed that there is now a significant increase in the number of children admitted to hospitals with severe acute malnutrition in the areas where personnel of Médecins Sans Frontières, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) are working.

It has, therefore, become a pressing concern that has been observed by the various teams working in Northern Nigeria.

This alarming trend is a cause for concern and highlights the urgent need for humanitarian assistance to be scaled up in the region.

As an organization, MSF declared that it committed to providing medical care to those in need, but cannot do it alone.

It stressed that, “We urge other organizations and authorities at all levels to come together and address this crisis.”

“We believe that with your usual support in disseminating critical information, we can work together to raise awareness about this issue and mobilize the necessary resources to provide relief to affected populations,” It added.
