Former presidential candidate of African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore has accused Police operatives over what he described as ‘unprofessional treatments’ of peaceful protesters across the country.
Recall that the controversial human rights activist on Monday, together with some angry Nigerians, stormed the streets of Lagos State, Abuja and Port Harcourt, a decision which was earlier kicked against by Nigeria Police Force.

INFORMATION NIGERIA had reported that the Police’s Spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi on Sunday, appealed to the protesters to suspend their movement, citing celebration of National Police Day.

Despite the warning, the demonstrators were spotted in their numbers, demanding for end of bad government, stable economic policies.
It was learnt that some of the protesters clashed with security agents during the rallies on Monday.
Reacting to the demonstration during an interview with Channels Television, founder of Take It Back Movement, Sowore, said that the police officers attacked his followers and maltreated them.
He added that the security agents have no respect for human rights.
Sowore said: “Today was the day the police ought to have proven that this is a police for the people. If there was a professional test that could be conducted, it is what we did today, and they failed terribly at it.
“Look at how they performed today woefully again. They attacked us unprovoked. They are intolerant.
“They have no respect for human rights. There were three persons arrested today, one of them a journalist.
“They were made to lie down in a drainage. They fired tear gas at them. They beat them silly with the planks attached to their placards.”
