YOUNG preachers from the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) have encouraged Christians to actively share the message of love and salvation that comes from knowing Jesus.
This call to action was made by Master Boluwade Titobioluwa and Miss Oluwatunmise Emmanuel, during the 29th children’s anniversary ceremony, held at CAC in Oke-Ife, Agbowo, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The theme of the event was “We Would Like to See Jesus,” based on John 12:21.
Boluwade (who spoke in English) and Oluwatunmise (who occasionally spoke in Yoruba) emphasized that knowing and following Jesus brings peace, salvation, miracles, restoration, blessings, and the promise of eternal life.
They urged everyone, regardless of their intelligence or natural abilities, to seek and know Jesus, asserting that in Him, there is no lack, imperfection, or favoritism.
“Jesus is the savior of the world—the way, the truth, and the life. You need to see Jesus because He embodies everything you desire and seek in life,” they stated.
They explained that seeing Jesus also means pursuing wisdom and knowledge. They took this opportunity to remind parents of the importance of providing their children with quality education while guiding them in the ways of Jesus.
Earlier, the Children’s Coordinator of the church, Pastor Samuel Ogungbemi, expressed that the event’s theme would enable the congregation not only to encounter Jesus but also to walk and work alongside Him.
Pastor Ogungbemi added that the annual vision of the children’s anniversary is to “nurture children in their relationship with God through Jesus Christ and help them grow in Christian character, academics, and leadership, positively impacting their generation.”
The chairman of the anniversary ceremony, Mr Michael Talabi, noted how proud the church is of the children for their commitment to God and service to the church.
One of the children’s pastors expressed gratitude towards the senior pastors and teachers who prepared the children for the event, emphasizing that the work of the church in society is evident through the children.
During the anniversary, the children’s church celebrated the graduation of 18 students from its SS2 class, with Abioye Oluwatosin Ebenezer recognized as the best student.
The church’s youth pastor, Ranti Olawe, addressed the young graduates, reminding them that over the past six years, the church has invested in their development through the children’s ministry.
He encouraged them to translate these investments into advantages for themselves, the church, and society.
