The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has opened its recruitment portal for tax officer roles, inviting applications for Officer I and Officer II positions across multiple locations in Nigeria.
The announcement was made on Friday, November 1, 2024, via a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

Step 1: Confirm Your Eligibility
Before starting your application, ensure you meet the FIRS eligibility criteria:
- Age Requirement: Applicants must be 27 years old or younger by December 31, 2024.
- NYSC Completion: Candidates must have completed their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) by December 31, 2021.
- Educational Qualifications: Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree or HND with First Class or Second Class Upper Division in relevant fields like Accounting, Actuarial Science, Business Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Economics, Law, Mathematics, or Statistics. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, COREN, NSE) is an added advantage.
Step 2: Visit the FIRS Recruitment Portal
Go to the official FIRS recruitment portal at www.firs.gov.ng/careers to begin your application.
Step 3: Create an Account
Click on the “Register” or “Sign Up” option to create a personal account. Provide a valid email address and set a secure password. Check your email for a confirmation link to activate your account.
Step 4: Fill Out the Online Application Form
Log in to your account and access the application form. Complete each section carefully, providing your personal information, education history, and professional qualifications.
