Brother Ezekiel Ofunne, the Spiritual Director of Endless Fountain of Light and Truth International Ministry, has called on those spreading false rumors about the death of the Nigerian Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreef Abiodun Lagbaja, to desist from their malicious actions. He urged Nigerians to pray for the Army chief’s speedy recovery, especially now when he is making significant strides in the fight against terrorism and banditry across the nation.

Brother Ofunne emphasized the importance of unity and patriotic support for the Nigerian Armed Forces during these challenging times. He condemned the spread of falsehoods and misinformation, noting that such actions could destabilize national morale and create unnecessary panic among citizens. He urged the public to focus on supporting the nation’s security forces with prayers and goodwill, rather than entertaining negativity.

In highlighting Lt. Gen. Lagbaja’s dedication, Brother Ofunne described him as a selfless leader who has been working tirelessly to restore peace and stability in Nigeria. He commended the Army chief’s achievements in curbing terrorism and banditry, urging Nigerians to rally around him and offer their support as he recovers.

The spiritual leader also called on religious leaders across the country to include the Army chief in their prayers, seeking divine intervention for his healing. “It is crucial that we come together in prayer for our leaders, especially those committed to protecting our lives and properties,” he said. Brother Ofunne further emphasized that spiritual support is key to ensuring the Army chief’s swift return to duty.

In conclusion, Brother Ofunne stressed the need for national solidarity, urging Nigerians to look beyond political and ethnic differences. He warned that spreading baseless rumors could hinder the progress made in the fight against insurgency, and called for collective efforts to ensure the safety and security of the nation. “The security of our nation should be our top priority,” he reiterated.
