The Managing Director/ CEO, MP Master Piece Ltd, Mr Emeka Ike, has appealed to the Federal Government to come up with policies that will promote and protect the interests of indigenous manufacturers and producers in the country.
Ike, who made the appeal in Lagos at the unveiling of the company’s new alcoholic spirit offering, Firemore Blended Brandy, noted that such support has become imperative to enable local businesses to contribute their quota to the nation’s economic development.
According to him, besides delighting consumers and giving them a rich range of offerings to pick from, the debut of the new brandy brand also demonstrated the company’s confidence in the nation’s marketplace and its commitment to investing in it despite all odds.
He explained that a lot of care has been put into the production of the Firemore Blended Brandy from the ingredients sourced to enhance its quality and enable the locally-produced spirit compete favourably with its foreign counterparts.
Ike described the introduction of the new brandy as a testament to the company’s commitment to promoting quality made in Nigeria goods with international standards.
On the increasing number of businesses leaving shores of the country, Ike attributed the development to some government policies that have been inimical to the growth of such businesses, adding that with good and conducive environment, businesses will be able to create more jobs and opportunities for the nation’s teeming youths.
