Nationnewslead report that A chieftain of Osun State Chapter of the ruling All Progressive Congress and Ijesa North House of Representatives candidate in the 2023 general election, Hon. Seun Odofin has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory at the Supreme Court.
He expressed delight over the Nigeria’s Apex Court affirmation of Asiwaju Tinubu as the duly elected President of the Africa most populous nation, said Nigerians are happy that their wishes through the ballot was affirmed by the bench of honourable judges.
Hon. Odofin who served as Special Adviser on Administration and Legislative Compliance to erstwhile Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila said no doubt that Nigerians preferred Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to other candidates and overwhelmingly voted for him because of his precedence and trust repose in him to make Nigeria great.
He condemned efforts by opposition to upturn the mandate willingly given to President Tinubu and noted that with yesterday’s Apex Court verdict, the distraction had been laid to rest. He thanked Nigerians for standing by President Tinubu throughout the legal battle.
“I am very happy to congratulate the father of the Africa most populous nation and our dear President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Vice President Kashim Shettima on their well deserved victory at the Nigeria’s Apex Court in the battle that centred on February 25, 2023 presidential election.
I also congratulate the APC family across the globe on this meritorious victory and Nigerian masses who with the hope for a better country turnout en masse to overwhelmingly voted for Lion of Bourdillon in that February 25, 2023 presidential election.
The judgement which has now settled any dispute over the 2023 presidential election was a good one that will further deepen our democracy.
Now that judgement has been honestly and judiciously served, the President is off any electoral related distraction and will have time to concentrate to work for Nigerians and deliver on all his electoral promises.”
Hon. Odofin explained that though the litigation was a needless distraction, but submitted that President Tinubu as a true democrat will not perceive anyone who wanted him out of office as an enemy but as a needed instrument to strengthen Nigeria’s electoral laws and democracy.
