Kebbi Governor, Nasir Idris
The Supreme Court has affirmed the election of Nasir Idris of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the governor of Kebbi.
This followed a unanimous judgment delivered on Friday by a five-member panel of the court.
The apex court dismissed the appeal by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Bande Aminu, in the last governorship election in the state.
According to Justice Uwani Abba-Aji, who read the lead judgment, the court held that the appeal lacked merit and was subsequently dismissed along with other appeals.
