A mobility technology company, MAX is collaborating with the Anambra State Government to empower tricycle operators and enhance productivity in the state.
Head, Government Relations of the company, Mr. Deji Shobowale, who announced the collaboration during a meeting held at the State Secretariat Conferences Hall Awka, on Friday, also said the collaboration will alleviate transportation burdens in the state.
Chris Jatto, Head of Growth at MAX, explained during his presentation that MAX aims to provide tricycles to intended operators on a subscription basis. The workshop included a demonstration of the MAX Keke, reviewed by the Commissioner for Transport.
MAX will be launching Anambra state, and extend to other states in the southeast states
MAX already operates in other southwest states and the North Central.
Shobowale commended the State Commissioner for Transport, Barrister Patricia Igwebuike for making the collaboration possible in the state.
In her brief remarks, the Commissioner for Transport, Barrister Igwebuike while commending the company for the gesture, assured them of full Government support.
The meeting was also attended by the Head of Expansion, Mr Gbolahan Fadipe, permanent secretary, Ministry of Transport, Mr. Michael Obiekwe, representatives of FRSC, VIO, Police, union, tricycle operators, tricycle dealers and repairers, motorcycle dealers, and repairers, among others.
