After five months of rigorous comprehensive repair, the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos has finally been reopened for public use.

The Federal Controller of Work in Lagos State, Mrs Olukorede Keisha, an engineer, who represented the Minister of Work, Mr. David Umahi, said the bridge was completed five months instead of six months earlier scheduled.

Having reopened the bridge for public use, he said that the remaining works like the installation of solar lights and
CCTV are ongoing.

According to him, the remaining ongoing works would not disrupt the flow of traffic.

The minister assured that the ongoing underdecks and underwater works would not disrupt traffic and would strengthen the integrity of the bridge when completed.

He thanked the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwoolu for his assistance in the management of traffic during the construction work.

He also lauded the travelling public, especially motorists and commuters for their cooperation.
