Nationnewslead reports that Exactly one week after they were kidnapped at Akere Village in Ifewara, Osun state, three Chinese expatriates were on Monday released by their abductors.
The expatriates were reportedly kidnapped at a mining site after a disagreement with their labourers around 6:00 pm last week Monday.
The labourers were said to have contacted families of the victims and demanded a sum of N500 million.
Although it was not immediately clear how the expatriates regained freedom on Monday.
But Yemisi Opalola, the police spokesperson for Osun Command in a text message to our correspondent said the victims had been rescued.
She said, “We have rescued the three Chinese expatriates abducted in Ifewara.”
