President Bola Ahmed Tinubu commended the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) for its efforts at engaging the best brands to provide workable solutions to critical national issues, which have been useful in resolving several national issues in the face of limited resources.

The president gave the commendation at the graduation ceremony of the Senior Executive Course SEC 45 of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies in Plateau.

He stated that the submissions on course teams every year have evolved a new policy for addressing major national issues or resulted in a review of existing policies to accommodate current realities.

President Tinubu, who was represented by the Minister of Transport, Mr Seidu Ahmed Alkali, urged the National Institute to continue this trend and promised that the federal government will equally play its part by providing the necessary support to achieve its mandate.

“As a responsible or responsive government, It is our burning desire to provide good governance at both the national and subnational level, as encapsulated in our renewed hope agenda.

“Be reminded that so much has gone into training. These include confidence, finances, and effort from the faculty and yourselves. Please do not let the nation down as much as expected from you as you return to serve the nation through your various offices.

“I congratulate you all on your graduation and wish you the best as you resume your position or assume higher responsibilities in the various fields of endeavour to whom much is given and much is required of the management and staff of the National Institutes.”

He commended the graduates for producing excellent and workable recommendations, adding that the government buys into the mission towards a better society as it’s ever willing or ready to support in achieving it for nations and people.

In his address, the Director-General of the Institute, Professor Ayo Omotayo, thanked the Vice President for always coming to the aid of the National Institute whenever the need arose, adding that he always availed himself of the request of the Institute.

Professor Omotayo appreciated the military and other security agencies for their support over the years for the country and the National Institute and called on other similar organisations to emulate security agencies.
