President Bola Tinubu’s administration has shifted the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting from Wednesday to Monday.
This change was confirmed by the Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, during a briefing with State House correspondents after a FEC meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
President Tinubu has conducted two FEC meetings since the inauguration of his cabinet in August. The latest meeting on Monday also involved the swearing-in of three additional ministers who recently underwent screening by the National Assembly.
Minister Idris mentioned that FEC meetings may not occur regularly, particularly if there are no pressing issues to be discussed.
This alteration deviates from the previous practice under President Muhammadu Buhari, where FEC meetings were typically held on Wednesdays.
