THE Muslim Congress (TMC) in Oyo State has expressed gratitude to the chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote; the Muslim Community Oyo State (MUSCOYS) and chairman, Alhaji Kunle Sanni, for their contributions to easing the economic burden of Muslims in the state during the month of Ramadan.
In a statement, the state coordinator of TMC, Alhaji Daud Oladosu, recalled that “in a gesture of compassion and solidarity,” Alhaji Dangote donated 3,000 50kg bags of rice to the Muslim Community Oyo State to alleviate hardship among the Muslim population.
“These relief packages were promptly distributed to various Islamic organisations across the state under the supervision of Alhaji Kunle Sanni.
“The timely arrival of the relief package provided much-needed assistance to individuals and families grappling with economic hardships exacerbated by the current circumstances.
“The Muslim Congress, Oyo State, in partnership with its local government representatives and some sister organisations, ensured the efficient provision of aid to Muslim communities within the respective localities,” Oladosu noted.
TMC also commended what it called Alhaji Dangote’s commitment to ethical business practices and urged other affluent individuals to follow his example in contributing to the welfare of society.
Emphasising the importance of halal products and ethical investments, the group underscored the significance of supporting initiatives that promote economic prosperity while adhering to moral principles.
The group also acknowledged “the exemplary leadership” of Alhaji Kunle Sanni and the Oyo State Muslim Community and “their diligent efforts in facilitating the fair and equitable distribution of the relief item.
“As we express gratitude for these acts of kindness, TMC offers prayers for the continued blessings and success of Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Oyo State Muslim Community, and all individuals and organisations involved in alleviating economic hardship in Oyo State and beyond. May Almighty Allah reward their noble endeavours and grant prosperity to all,” TMC said.
