Donald Trump rode in a garbage truck decorated with a Trump sign and an American flag proudly displayed in the window to his rally in Wisconsin on Wednesday night in response to President Joe Biden’s comments after calling his supporters garbage.

In a viral video, Trump was seen in a rump, with a broad grin, waving to onlookers from the driver’s seat of a garbage truck; this was  as a result of an  earlier comment by  Biden, who referred to Trump supporters as “garbage.”

“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,” Biden was initially quoted as saying, sparking backlash.

The White House later clarified the statement, explaining that Biden had been referring to comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s joke about Puerto Rico being a “floating island of garbage.”

Yet, the remark had already stirred strong reactions, including from Trump himself.

“Look at my garbage truck!” Trump laughed, addressing reporters while sporting an orange workman’s vest. “This truck is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden.”

‘How do you like my garbage truck? This truck is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden,’ he told the waiting media while wearing an orange workman’s vest.

His statement was aimed at both Biden and Harris as they worked to distance themselves from the incident. On Wednesday, Harris reportedly made efforts to clarify her stance, distancing herself from Biden’s phrasing.

The moment quickly went viral, with Trump’s supporters embracing the show of defiance as the 2024 campaign nears its conclusion.

With tight polling margins in Wisconsin and nationwide, every gesture matters, making Trump’s garbage truck spectacle a lasting image of this hard-fought campaign.

Trump’s supporters praised the act as a symbol of solidarity, viewing it as a defiant response to Biden’s remark. “President Biden called us garbage? Well, let’s show him we’re proud of who we are,” one Trump supporter commented under the video.
