The Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has joined the people of Ondo State and Nigerians at large in celebrating the 70th birthday of former Governor Olusegun Mimiko.
He also felicitated the Ondo State All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, on his birthday.
The Minister praised Dr. Mimiko’s outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s growth and development, particularly his remarkable achievements during his tenure as Governor of Ondo State from 2009 to 2017.
Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Minister, Babatunde Alao, in a statement on Thursday in Abuja, quoted the Minister as saying that the former governor’s exemplary leadership and vision transformed the state and left a lasting legacy.
The Minister also extended warm felicitations to Engr. Ade Adetimehin on his birthday, acknowledging his invaluable political contributions to the development of Ondo State and Nigeria.
“As we celebrate His Excellency Olusegun Mimiko, we recognise his selfless service and unwavering commitment to our great nation,” said the Minister.
“Also, the leadership and charisma of Engr Ade Adetimehin have no doubt made a significant impact on our state and great party’s progress, and we are grateful for his tireless efforts.
“The Ministry of Interior wishes Dr Olusegun Mimiko a happy 70th birthday and Engr. Ade Adetimehin a joyful birthday, with prayers for good health, wisdom, and continued service to Nigeria.”
